3 Amazing Rules to Stay Healthy

As we are living in a hard time and coronavirus has impacted all around the world, and people are looking for ways to keep them sound and healthy. There is no doubt those who have a weak immune system are more vulnerable. Where we need to take preventive measures such as avoiding contact with others, handwashing, and hygiene to reduce the risk, you also need to maintain your health while living at home.

Though preventive measures can save a person’s life, you also need to improve your physical health. For this, you need to eat healthy food and keep yourself physically active. For the last two months, I have been receiving emails from different people about what kind of diet they should eat and what exercises can keep them sane in lockdown. So I decided to write on it to help those who are afraid of this virus and looking for possible ways to strengthen their immune system.

Here you will find a list of things that would help almost every age group of people to enhance their immunity against bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.

1. Eat Healthy Diet

Not to mention eating a balanced and healthy diet is crucial. Most of us don’t care to eat a balanced diet. They love to eat fast food without considering their health. These types of people are vulnerable to diseases. Other people think overeating is the only way to stay physically fit. Yet in actuality, your body needs limited but a diet rich with all nutrients.

Add Legumes and pulses to your diet: Most of you ask what are legumes and pulses and how they help us to get nutrients and boost the immunity. Pulses and legumes belong to the Leguminosae family. They not only increase the immune system but improve the nervous system. According to a study, they are considered ideal for people with celiac disease and diabetes. They are rich in fibre, iron, minerals, and protein. Besides, they are low in fats and help to regulate weight.

2. Keep Your Body Physically Active

I couldn’t agree more with this proverb “A sound body has a sound mind.” In the same way, a person who has a sound mind is more likely to have a sound body. In short, a person needs both systems to be sane to work properly. And to that end, you need to take part in physical activities to boost your immunity. According to a study, those who exercise regularly experience less depression, anxiety, or stress. So add exercise in your daily to-do list. For this, you don’t need to pay a high gym fee; you can simply do a light exercise at your own place.

3. Get Your Enough Sleep

Like your machines, your body needs sleep to rest in order to work properly.  Without getting enough sleep, you increase your risk of developing severe health problems such as Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, and obesity. A report has shown that those who sleep fewer than six hours per night are at more risk of having health problems as compared to those who sleep well.
