5 Home Remedies For Growing Your Hair Longer & Healthier

Stunted hair growth and breakage are some of the hair problems ladies face and there are no shortcuts to growing luscious, long locks.

However, there are a number of ways to stimulate healthy hair growth as well as a range of conditions that should be avoided if you want your hair to grow faster than usual.

Check out five tips on how to achieve longer and luscious locks below;

EAT THE RIGHT DIET

If you really want to have thick and beautiful locks, then watch what you eat. Eating foods rich in protein, vital vitamins and minerals is an essential prerequisite to healthy hair growth.

Include a variety of foods like milk, cheese, eggs, salmon, avocado, brown bread, oats and grapefruits to help nourish your hair and scalp.

TRY CASTOR OIL TREATMENT

Castor oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids hence it is perfect to promote healthy hair growth. Mix the castor oil with an equal amount of coconut, olive, or almond oil. Massage your scalp with it and leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes, then shampoo your hair.

APPLY AN EGG MASK

Eggs are highly beneficial for faster hair growth because they are packed with protein and also contain iron, sulfur and zinc. Whisk an egg and add one cup of milk, two tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, and the juice from half a lemon to it. Apply it on your scalp and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes before washing it out and shampooing your hair. You can use an egg hair mask at least once a month.

MASSAGE YOUR SCALP WITH WARM OIL

Massaging promotes blood flow to the scalp, which in turn stimulates the hair follicles. In addition, slightly warm up a little bit of oil (olive oil, coconut oil or argan oil) and add to your hair by gently rubbing it with your fingers in a circular motion for three to five minutes. Then rinse off the oil from your hair.

TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY

Yes! When I first heard that trimming helps grow the hair healthier and longer, it was like saying poison helps cure an ailment. Trimming your locks helps to get rid of split ends.
